For a tranquil, educational nature experience right here in the Corridor, Indian Creek Nature Center has trails, classes, and much, much more! With a strong mission that centers environmental education and wilderness responsibility, Indian Creek Nature Center offers a unique glimpse at Iowa’s natural past. The Nature Center is conveniently located at 6665 Otis Road SE in Cedar Rapids. You can hike the trails and visit the building on Monday-Saturday free of charge! For a small fee, you and your family or class can experience some of the Nature Center’s many scheduled programs. Indian Creek Nature Center offers programs for adults, teachers and their classes, parents and their children, scouts, summer camps, and even volunteer opportunities for all you nature enthusiasts out there. A new and exciting event at the Nature Center this year is the Bee Amazing Trail Run/Walk, taking place on Sunday, September 21 in conjunction with the Nature Center’s annual Honey Fest. This fun 5K offers families, kids and seasoned runners alike an opportunity to enjoy a healthy activity outdoors while enjoying the Nature Center’s beautiful trails.
