Return to Work Programs
In 2018, the total cost of workplace injuries was $170.8 Billion, and 70 Million work days lost due to injury!
For employers, this translates to skyrocketing claims costs, increased workers' compensation premiums, decrease in employee morale and more. It's not great for the employees either, they suffer from reduced earning capacity, have an increased likelihood of substance abuse, and a decreased sense of job security & financial independence.
In a perfect world, nobody would get hurt while at work. But when accidents do happen, it's important to have a plan in place to get them back to work as quickly and safely as possible.
Return to work programs can often be challenging to implement, add too much workload to existing employees, reduce the quality of work output and more.
Sheakly's "Modified Duty" helps minimize and alleviate many of the impacts of an employees' absence. In addition to partnering with outside non-profit organizations to provide light-duty, off site assignments - they've also developed Virtual Return to Work Programs.
TrueNorth & David Massey from Sheakley showed us how you can:
- Take advantage of virtual return to work programs
- Reduce or eliminate indemnity payments
- Lower the medical cost of a claim
- Boost loyalty & trust with both injured workers, and the entire staff
