(Cedar Rapids, Iowa | October 2, 2024) - The TrueNorth Legacy Foundation, a private foundation (501c3) established in 2021 by TrueNorth Companies L.C., is proud to have completed its second annual grant cycle and announce the distribution of $527,000 to community causes in 2024.
“We live, work and play in amazing communities with all kinds of good things happening,” said Matt Evans, President of the TrueNorth Legacy Foundation Board of Directors. “I am incredibly proud to complete our second annual grant cycle with the TrueNorth Legacy Foundation, demonstrating how our giving pillars and grants create meaningful support and investment with organizations making a real difference.”
The foundation’s board was honored to approve grant funding above and beyond plans for 2024, due to additional generosity of individual contributors.
Grant recipients were chosen based on three key criteria: 1) Demonstrated need and future vision of a transformational gift; 2) Alignment with the Legacy Foundation’s core pillars of Children & Education, Vibrant Communities, Emergency Response & Preparedness; 3) Championed from within the TrueNorth Companies and First Mainstreet, Inc. colleague base.
