Charitable Giving: Cedar Valley Humane Society

During the month of May, TrueNorth is proud to sponsor the Cedar Valley Humane Society. We have some exciting things in store for the month and it all benefits this great organization. We invite you to follow along as we share our efforts with you!

About Cedar Valley Humane Society

According to their website, The Cedar Valley Humane Society cares for more than 2,000 animals each year.  Founded in 1901, the Humane Society helps place thousands of animals into new adoptive homes and returns hundreds of lost pets to their owners every year. The CVHS is not affiliated with any other agency or organization, and relies solely on private donations for everything they do. 

How TrueNorth Plans to Help

• TrueNorth will start our fundraising efforts by hosting a building-wide bake sale during the second week of May, hosted by TrueNorth's Service Corporation team.
• The Cedar Valley Humane Society - and their furry friends - will be on-site at TrueNorth! A taco food truck will also be on-site that day with a portion of all proceeds benefiting the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
• As always, you can count on seeing the TrueNorth team sporting denim the last Wednesday in May, as the office will be partaking in our "Casual for a Cause" day to help support the Cedar Valley Humane Society.

How You Can Help:

• Make a donation: join in on the effort and contribute to the Cedar Valley Humane Society. You can opt to become a loyal supporter and contribute year-round, or make a one-time donation at this link.
• Volunteer your time: volunteering with CVHS is an excellent way to make a positive difference for homeless animals. To learn more about volunteering at the Cedar Valley Humane Society, contact us at (319) 362-6288 or email info@cvhumane.org.
• Donate materials: in addition to the ongoing needs for general donations, the CVHS often needs specialty items. A list of basic items can be found here.
