Charitable Giving: Freedom Foundation

During the month of August, TrueNorth will be raising fund for the Freedom Foundation. Read on to see how TrueNorth plans to assist in providing food, clothing and support to veterans and their families.
About Freedom Foundation:
According to their website, Freedom Foundation's mission is to "serve the many needs of active duty, reserve, and honorably discharged military veterans." They provide a place for veterans to interact with fellow veterans and share in the camaraderie and mutual experiences they have while serving our country.
Freedom Foundation works diligently, often partnering with other organizations to assist veterans with lodging, food, transportation, financial, and physical/mental medical assistance. Their center provides a resource center and guidance to navigate the best path for each individual's needs, all the while, creating close interpersonal relationships through building trust and providing an emotional safety net.

How TrueNorth Plans to Help
We'll kick off fundraising efforts with a "patriotic picnic" bake sale, hosted by TrueNorth's Transportation Fleet/Primary team.
TrueNorth will host its first-ever "As American as Apple Pie" Bake-Off! TrueNorth staff will have an opportunity to sample an array of homemade fruit and cream pies with ice cream and coffee. A representative from the Freedom Foundation will be on-site to share more about their organization's work.
You can count on seeing the TrueNorth team sporting denim on the last Wednesday in August, as the office will be collectively participating in our "Casual for a Cause" day to support Freedom Foundation.
