Charitable Giving: GiGi's Playhouse

During the month of July, TrueNorth is proud to sponsor GiGi's Playhouse. We have some exciting things in store for the month and it all benefits this great organization. We invite you to follow along as we share our efforts with you!

About GiGi's Playhouse

According to their website, GiGi's Playhouse is all about achievement, belief and confidence. GiGi's Playhouse serves children and adults of all ages and their many locations throughout the United States and Mexico by offering educational and therapeutic programs at no charge to families. Their literacy program teaches thousands of kids with Down syndrome to read each year. Last year alone, 25,000 participants benefited from Playhouse programs.

How TrueNorth Plans to Help

• TrueNorth will start our fundraising efforts by hosting a building-wide bake sale during the second week of July, hosted by TrueNorth Risk Management.
• Our Casual for a Cause Committee will also be hosting an internal lemonade stand for TrueNorth staff - all proceeds will benefit our local Playhouse.  
• As always, you can count on seeing the TrueNorth team sporting denim the last Wednesday in July, as the office will be partaking in our "Casual for a Cause" day to help support GiGi's Playhouse.

How You Can Help:

• Make a donation: join in on the effort and contribute to GiGi's Playhouse. You can opt to become a loyal supporter and contribute year-round, or make a one-time donation at this link.
• Volunteer your time: volunteering with GiGi's Playhouse is an excellent way to make a positive difference. To learn more about volunteering at the Cedar Rapids Playhouse, click here.
• Donate materials: GiGi's Playhouse core programs require various supplies and materials, including markers, crayons, colored pencils, toys, puzzles, memory games and more. Contact the Cedar Rapids local Playhouse to access a current listing of their needs:
