During the month of February, TrueNorth is proud to sponsor Make a Wish! We have some exciting things in store for the month and it all benefits this great organization. We invite you to follow along as we share our efforts with you!
About Make a Wish
According to their website, every 35 minutes, Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories. They believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides them in everything they do. It inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of every child they serve. How TrueNorth Plans to Help
- We'll kick off fundraising efforts this month with wish-themed building-wide bake sale hosted by TrueNorth's personal lines team, along with risk management service managers.
- Our Casual for a Cause committee will also be sponsoring a Coffee Bar at our headquarters in Cedar Rapids. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Make-A-Wish Iowa.
- As always, you can count on seeing the TrueNorth team sporting denim the last Wednesday in February, as the office will be partnering in our "Casual for a Cause" day to help support Make-A-Wish.
How You Can Help
- Refer a child: every wish begins with a referral. Make-a-Wish relies on referrals from caring individuals to help them reach more kids with life-threatening medical conditions every year and grant them a wish that changes lives, forever. The eligibility consideration process is initiated when a wish referral inquiry is submitted to your local chapter.

- Volunteer: Make-A-Wish chapters have a variety of volunteer needs and opportunities in communities across the United States and its territories. Visit their website to learn more about specific volunteer opportunities in your area.
